How to Identify Skin Allergies and Treat Them in Time

Allergies are the bane of life. These conditions pop up at the least times and can create a lot of discomfort to life in general. In the more advanced stages, they can wreak havoc since they can become potentially life threatening! It is always a wise thing to find out what allergies your body is prone to and how to identify them. This will help you get the right kind of treatment at the right time before things get worse. Different people contract different types of allergies. Some are externally seen, while others are more internal. Either way, they need to be attended to as soon as possible. Skin rashes and other skin conditions are very visible and if not treated in time, can leave permanent scars.

Various types of symptoms

Rashes are normal skin conditions that occur when the body reacts adversely to an allergen. These can easily be treated with the help of over the counter lotions and ointments. But hives are an entirely different category of rashes and are detected using Urticaria Diagnosis. They normally cause itching, but sometimes they may sting or even cause a burning sensation. They appear suddenly as if out of nowhere, anywhere including the tongue, lips, face, ears, throat, etc. They come in different sizes ranging from tiny spots to the size of dinner plates! At times they may fuse together to form plaques.

Life threatening conditions

Hives are red bumps that appear on the skin due to allergic reactions of the body. They appear for a few hours or so, or at the most for a day. After that they fade away. Angioedema is just the same as hives, but the swelling bumps appear underneath the skin rather than on the surface. Deep swelling can be seen around the lips, eyes, and at times on the hands, feet, and genitals as well. Urticaria Diagnosis can help to identify this condition before it gets worse. In rare cases, angioedema can occur in the throat and lungs, which can make breathing very difficult.

Contributing to research

If you are interested in learning more about these types of diseases and want to contribute to researching them and finding out better cures and preventive measures, you can apply for exams that will help you gain valuable insight into Urticaria Diagnosis. These exams are conducted by internationally recognized organizations that are dedicated to researching immunologic and allergic diseases with a view to educating people about the same. If you want to be a part of this program, check out their websites and enroll right away. These exams are based on revised questions that are prepared on topics such as allergens, drug hypersensitivity, dermatological and respiratory allergies, etc.

Top Benefits of a Global Atlas for Allergies

Allergic diseases today are an important health concern that affects the lives of millions of people around the world. Comprehensive documentation and effective strategies are the need of the hour to tackle allergy epidemic in a systematic way at global, regional and national levels. However, there are several areas such as education, research and development, training and clinical care where needs are still unmet. A global atlas of allergy developed by expert opinion leaders from around the world is the perfect platform and reference tool for all those involved in dealing with allergic diseases.

Building Awareness of Allergy Epidemic

Although it is estimated that over half the world’s population is sensitized and more than thirty percent have one or more allergic conditions, allergy diseases do not receive priority in national healthcare programs. This is even more evident in developing countries due to their insufficient resources and heterogeneous inhabitations. A global atlas written by leading opinion makers’ builds awareness about the socioeconomic burden of allergic conditions around the world and the need to recognize it as a top priority in healthcare strategies.

Comprehensive Information with Expert Insights

A comprehensive global atlas of allergy provides a vast array of information covering all aspects of allergy including descriptions of molecular and cellular mechanisms and risk factors to best methods for diagnosis, treatment, control, management and prevention. As a reference tool, it is of immense value to medical students, researchers, allied health workers, primary health care providers, pharmacists, policy makers, medical industry professionals, patient organizations and specialist doctors. A worldwide atlas for allergy offers guidance on how to overcome barriers such as poverty, poor infrastructure and education that are commonly observed in developing countries.

Allergy Training and Care

Two excellent ways of tackling the global allergy epidemic are optimized allergy training and clinical care. Very few professionals are involved in these two aspects because of the lack of focus on the benefits of accurate diagnosis and optimum personalized treatment. A global atlas of allergy can change this by elucidating the need for proper allergy training and care. By establishing actionable plans for strategy development and resource management, it helps policy makers worldwide take strong decisions. One significant contribution of a worldwide allergy atlas is the development of a global strategy concept that seeks to bring together various shareholders such as schools, patient organizations, pharmacist, allied and primary health care providers.

How to Access

There are some reputed organizations working to build awareness, promote research, collect and disseminate scientific information about allergies and immunologic diseases. They have already published global atlases of allergy as well as specific conditions such as asthma, allergic rhinitis and chronic rhino sinusitis that have been developed by reputed opinion leaders as desktop references with multi spectral usages. Anyone interested can go online and read them for free to gain comprehensive information on allergy conditions.

A Few Ways To Relieve Spring Allergy Symptoms In Children

Before starting any treatment for spring allergy you need to visit a pediatrician to check if it is the allergy which is causing your child’s ailment or whether there is some other reason for the symptoms. Though there are no effective cure for spring allergies in children, there are a few ways in which you can make the little ones feel better.

These few tips have proven to be effective at helping curb spring allergy symptoms.

Keep Your Child Indoors

Staying inside the house is one of the best ways to avoid contact with the allergens. When the pollen count is high in the air, try to keep your child indoor. Pollen count is highest in the mid-morning or early evening or when there is wind.

Salt Water Treatment

Nasal congestion is one of the most painful symptoms of seasonal allergy. For relieving the congestion you can try out nasal irrigation with salt water. You can either buy the saline water from the medicine shop or create your own by mixing 8 ounces of water with 1 teaspoon of salt.

Make Your Child Drink Plenty Of Water

Continuous sneezing and blowing the nose can leave your kid feeling parched. So always keep a sipper jar handy to keep your baby properly hydrated.

Use Petroleum Jelly For A Sore Nose

If your child’s nose is raw and sore from the sneezing then just dab some petroleum jelly to get rid of the soreness.

Say No to Toxic Shampoo and Foods

Living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t always just mean eating our vegetables. Today’s world bombards us with toxins every day as pollution is all around us. Toxic waves from our mobile phones and microwaves, oil spills destroying oceans, aluminium oxide sprayed in the skies, toxic poisons in our genetically modified food and even toxins in our makeup and soaps. These all do damage to us on a daily basis.

These cannot be avoided but we need to be aware of what we are putting on our skin, our hair and in our mouth. Protection from these harmful toxins come from vitamins, herbs and phytonutrients.

Some shampoos for example have a toxin in them called Sodium Lauryl Sulphate. This makes the shampoo foam when we mix it with water but it is also a degreasing agent which is why grease comes off easily when you wash your hands with soap. The problem is that when you’re putting this on your hair it is also entering the blood stream through your skin. Once this is in your blood stream it circulates to your organs and increases their toxicity. This can cause irritation in the eyes, affect your reproductive system and cause cell mutations.

Your skin does not protect your body because when toxins are absorbed by the skin they bypass the liver, enter the bloodstream and tissues directly. Also you are probably also using the shampoo in a hot shower which has opened all your pores in your skin and it becomes absorbed more easily.

When eating toxic food our body’s natural defences can help to break down some of the toxin. Enzymes in your saliva and stomach breaks them down and they go through your liver and kidneys to be left in the toilet but when something enters through your skin this does not happen so your shampoo may be poisoning your body.

There can even be a problem with natural shampoos as they tend to leave a residue on the hair that can make it look dull and feel unclean. They are also not always as pH balanced as you think, can damage the ends and they don’t lather as well so you don’t feel as if they clean properly.

Some shampoos and cosmetics can have what’s called dioxane in them and this can be linked to breast cancer. Diethanolamine or DEA is another ingredient in both shampoos and some cosmetics in concentrations that are often not safe. It reacts with preservatives and creates nitrosodiethanolamine which has also been known to cause cancer. This can stop you from absorbing Choline, which is one of the B vitamins important in development of the brain and during pregnancy. Parabens also found in shampoos can affect your hormones which maintain and regulate all functions in your body. Parabens are often disguised as Propylparaben, Parahydroxybenzoic acid, propyl-parahydroxybenzoic acid and several other names all containing the words benzoic acid or the word paraben at the end so start to read labels to see what is in your shampoo.

Another poison we may be putting into our mouth is called MSG which is commonly found in soups, sauces and other packaged foods. It could also be in your shampoo disguised in the form of glutamic acid or amino acid. Propylene Glycol found in antifreeze, tyre sealants, paint and varnish could also be in added in there because it acts as a solvent. It can irritate your skin and affect your liver and kidneys. Some side effects such as headaches, dizziness, nausea, drowsiness and in some extreme cases even death can be caused by these poisons.

So your seemingly harmless bottle of shampoo, soap or washing up liquid from the supermarket may not be as harmless as they look. Start to read labels and take your vitamins, antioxidants, digestive enzymes, drink enough clear filtered water and eat three fruits and three vegetables daily as well as at least one serve of protein. If you don’t protect yourself from these substances that pollute our world you may find one day it’s too late and you need to take a whole stack of prescribed medication for the illnesses these toxins and our polluted food and air have given you.

Dairy and Wheat Allergies – Who’s To Lose?

Perhaps two of the most allergic foods known to man are milk or dairy and wheat. Remember when it was safe as heck to drink milk and eat that whole wheat sandwich? Well, not anymore. Let me further explain.

They have gone through such biological changes that their formulation is no longer recognizable by the human body. Milk, for example, comes from cow’s, who eat the grass and the grass itself has been sprayed by pesticides, insecticides and herbicides. It enters your body with an intolerance against dairy and wheat and that’s why we clear them all. Even though you may not react to the substances, it is still bad for you. It’s like eating sugar. Even though we’ve cleared it, it still isn’t good for you.

Because of their high use in North America, they have to be tested for and re-balanced. By re-balance, I mean the body can be “reset” using our techniques. If you can imagine a wavy line, which depicts your bodies allergic reaction to that substance. Now, after you have gone through our technique, the previously wavy line is now represented by a flat line, which indicates your body’s acceptance to the same substance you were previously allergic to.

Even after re-balancing the items, you should still follow the 80-20 rule, where 80% of the time you should stay clear from dairy and wheat and 20% of the time you can go crazy. It is this 20% of the time that we do not want to see you suffer and that is why we clear the substances. That’s mainly because you can view them as a thing that has gone through some “unique” changes and it is because of these changes that they are no longer synergistic with the human body. We know it’s not good for us but 20% of the time, we can go a little crazier! But we all should stay away from them as much as we can because they just aren’t that good for us.

It is the result of re-balancing, within your body, these specific kits that contain the dairy and wheat in them that allow you to eat the products once again. But just don’t go crazy on the substances. You may be cleared but your body could slip back if you’re going to eat it like there is no tomorrow! But, best of all, there is a silver-lining to all of this and we should be able to get you on your way to feeling good once again after eating the items.
